The Semester began...but I didn't.
Yes, it is true...I am taking the semester off!
This was a really big decision for me, and a completely hard one.
I have never taken time off from school.
I am not sure how to feel.
Because I have been paying out of state tuition, about $10,000 a semester,
I decided to save money and go to school full time this Summer, when I can pay in state tuition.
A whole lot cheaper and a brighter idea.
I'm getting used to having extra time off, but between working 42 hours a week and coaching basketball, I really haven't had much down time to ponder.
I have a lot of tasks I have been putting off for a long time, and now I finally have some time to focus on them! Hurray!
Plus, I've always wanted some time off to focus on me...I am becoming selfish ;)
I'm still working at West Ridge Academy and sometimes it's way challenging!
I love my job though and I am so thankful I have the opportunity to work with some really interesting kids that are in dire need of help!
I'm also coaching the girl's basketball team and that, too, is a challenge! We are not your average High School, let alone team. Our girls really let their attitudes onto the court, we are guaranteed to put on a good show for the other team, between restraining our girls in the stands or having a girl raise a fist, or two, during a game.
We haven't won a single game.
In fact, we lost 72-0 once.
Amazing! ;)
My Brother, Andrew, is in his 5th week at Air Force Boot Camp in San Antonio, TX.
My parents have gotten a few, but lengthy, humorous letters! It is SO awesome to hear his personality come out in his letters! He's doing AMAZING! He holds the best run record in his flight, and he's also a leader! I am really proud and amazed at all he has accomplished these past few years. He's finally found himself and followed his dream.
I am extremely lucky and honored that I will be joining my family to see him graduate in three weeks!
I wish I had pictures to share, however my camera enjoys "smoking" whenever I take a picture. Yes, when the picture is taken a POOF of smoke comes out of it.
I refuse to catch on fire.
And yes, Utah is still freezing! It's awful!
I am ready for the warm summer weather...right about now.
